Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0269068A2] The aerosol container has two separate chambers (11, 12) for different components (A, B) which are to be mixed during use, the two chambers (11, 12) being arranged one above the other and being connected to each other by a connection channel (21), which can be opened during use, in such a way that the opening of the connection channel (21) can be produced by mechanical movement of the chambers (11, 12) relative to each other, and a discharge valve (13), which can be actuated independently, being assigned to the upper chamber (11). In order to be able to construct the lower chamber more easily, the latter is filled with a first component (A), in particular hydrogen peroxide, and a first propellant (T1), in particular butane, propane or the like, and the upper chamber (11) is filled with a second component (B), in particular hair dye or the like, and a second propellant (T2). Said propellant (T2) causes a smaller pressure, which is sufficient for discharging the component mixture through the discharge valve (13), inside the upper chamber (11) than the propellant (T1) in the lower chamber (12). The purpose of the latter propellant is merely to press the first component (A) out of the lower chamber (12) into the upper chamber (11), mixing it with the second component (B), when the connection channel (21) which is common to both chambers (11, 12) is opened. Finally, the connection channel (21), consisting of only three plastic components, is also of importance. <IMAGE>
