Abstract (en)
In the method, a filter tow consisting of crimped spun fibres and/or filaments is prepared in a preparation zone and passed to a processing zone where it is gathered in an intake zone, then wrapped and cut into tobacco smoke filter rods. In the region of the intake zone, a gas or vapour under elevated pressure acts on the filter tow at an angle of <90 DEG to the longitudinal axis of the filter tow in the direction of movement of the filter tow. <??>The three devices for carrying out the method, each having a preparation unit and a processing unit, contain, respectively, for feeding a gas or vapour under elevated pressure to the filter tow in the direction of movement thereof - an inlet finger (14) with holes (17) in its wall on the filter tow inlet side, - a tube (22) whose gas or vapour outlet end (23) opens in the region of the filter tow outlet side of the inlet funnel (23) or the filter tow inlet side of the inlet finger (14), and - a blower device (27) immediately upstream of the filter tow inlet side of the inlet finger (14). <??>The invention solves, in particular, the problem of non-uniform drawing resistances in the tobacco smoke filter rods. <??>Fig. 3 is proposed for publication with the abstract. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Beim Verfahren wird aus gekräuselten Spinnfasern und/oder Filamenten bestehendes Filtertau in einer Aufbereitungszone aufbereitet und einer Bearbeitungszone zugeführt, wo es in einer Einlaufzone zusammengefaßt, danach umhüllt und in Tabakrauchfilterstäbe zerschnitten wird. Im Bereich der Einlaufzone wirkt ein Gas oder Dampf erhöhten Drucks unter einem Winkel von<90° zur Filtertaulängsachse in Filtertaubewegungsrichtung auf das Filtertau ein. Die drei Vorrichtung zur Durchführung des Verfahrens mit jeweils einem Aufbereitungsgerät und einem Bearbeitungsgerät enthalten resp. zum Zuführen eines Gases oder von Dampf erhöhten Drucks zum Filtertau in dessen Bewegungsrichtung - einen Einlauffinger (14) mit Löchern (17) in seiner Wandung auf der Filtertau-Einlaufseite, - ein Rohr (22), dessen Gas- bzw. Dampfaustrittsende (23) im Bereich der Filtertau-Auslaufseite des Einlauftrichters(23) oder der Filtertau-Einlaufseite des Einlauffingers (14) mündet, - eine Blaseinrichtung (27) unmittelbar vor der Filtertau-Einlaufseite des Einlauffingers (14). Die Erfindung löst insbesondere das Problem von ungleichmäßigen Zugwiderständen der Tabakrauchfilterstäbe. Fig. 3 wird zur Veröffentlichen mit den Zusammenfassung vorgeschlagen.
