Abstract (en)

[origin: US4803283A] 4(5)-nitroimidazole-5(4)-carboxylic acids are prepared by reacting an imidazole-4(5)-carboxylic acid with a mixture of sulfuric acid and nitric acid at not less than 80 DEG C., the water content of the reaction mixture at the beginning of the reaction being no higher than 5% by weight, based on the reaction mixture.

Herstellung von 4(5)-Nitroimidazol-5(4)-carbonsäuren durch Umsetzung von Imidazol-4(5)-carbonsäuren bei Temperaturen von mindestens 80°C mit Gemischen aus Schwefelsäure und Salpetersäure, wobei der Wassergehalt des Umsetzungsgemisches zu Beginn der Reaktion nicht höher als 5 Gew.-%, bezogen auf das Umsetzungsgemisch, liegt.
