[origin: EP0270781A2] The present invention relates to a training cartridge for recoilless defensive weapons. These consist of a projectile head accommodated in a cartridge case and preferably containing a decomposable core and of an indicator charge with insulation. For flight stabilisation, a tail unit is arranged on the rear part of the projectile head. According to the invention, the projectile head has a step on its end face, and the tail unit is located on a rear cross-sectional narrowing of the projectile head and is made rigid. The cartridges according to the invention have a markedly improved flight behaviour.
