Drier comprises a rack (4) supported by crossed trestles (1) has longitudinal bars (6) which can shift laterally and end flaps with transverse bars which can pivot to hang down (10) or rest on top (9). The rack is pref. enclosed by a cover of fabric or film with holes (18) to allow ventilation, pref. through convection induced by an electrical heater (12) mounted under one end of the rack. Pref. the heater has a chamber to accommodate a block of material to adsorb or compensate for odours associated with pendant laundry.

L'invention concerne un étendoir à linge du type repliable comprenant deux bâtis, à savoir un horizontal (4) et deux latéraux (5). Une caractéristique fondamentale de l'invention réside dans le fait que les barrettes (6) destinées à supporter le linge sont, non pas rigidement fixées par leurs extrémités au bâti horizontal (4), mais susceptibles de se déplacer parallèlement les unes aux autres à l'horizontale. Les bâtis latéraux (5) peuvent être repliés à l'horizontale au-dessus du bâti (4), ou peuvent être rabattus vers le bas pour affecter une position verticale. On peut associer à l'étendoir un appareillage électrique de ventilation et de chauffage de façon à ce qu'une fois l'ensemble engagé à l'intérieur d'une enveloppe parallélépipédique convenablement perforée, on puisse procéder au séchage uniforme et rapide du linge disposé sur ledit étendoir.
