Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0271632A2] In a curtain lighting employing a light source which consists of one or more capped incandescent lamps that are preferably constructed as fluorescent tubes, a downwardly acting translucent screen which shields the light source and combines in one structural unit at least one transparent curtain rail, light-transmitting strips and profiled mounting strips, one or more diaphragms which are constructed as light-transmitting plates, and a mount for the screen, which has resilient metal sections in which the screen can be inserted and from which it can be removed together with its mounting strips, the invention provides for the metal sections of the screen mounting to be constructed in limbs of an open box section, of which the web joining the limbs serves as ceiling unit and forms inside an inwardly open mounting rail for the cap of the light source, whose incandescent lamps or fluorescent tubes are accommodated in each case in a space enclosed by the cap, one of the section limbs, the section web and the screen covering the cap, the metal sections of the mount being constructed on the inside of the box section limbs as profiled strips which form a structural unit with the section limb, while one or both box section limbs have on their outside directly at the junction into the section web a continuously profiled section which forms a mount for a diaphragm. <IMAGE>
