The heat exchanger (1) has two hollow members (2, 3) which can be assembled to form a container and whose sides facing one another have a zig-zag shape and delimit a zig-zag primary circuit channel, having boundary walls of the two hollow members which bear against one another in a sealing fashion at their edges (15), and having outlets (20, 31) and inlets (19, 30) for the two heat exchanging circuits provided on the hollow bodies. In a known heat exchanger of this type, the second hollow body (2) is secured in substance to the first hollow body (3) in such a way that it can be tilted away from the first hollow body via hinges after a short pull-out movement. This requires a high structural outlay and complicates the purification cycles that are frequently required when cooling down waste water. By contrast, the invention provides that each hollow body (2, 3) is a structural unit that is entirely separate from the other hollow body, and that the first hollow body (3) is constructed in a movable fashion and can be extracted in a straight line from the second hollow body (2) until it is completely separate therefrom. <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Wärmetauscher (1) mit zwei zu einem Behälter zusammenfügbaren Hohlkörpern, (2,3) deren zueinander weisende Seiten Zick-Zack-Form aufweisen und einen Zick-Zack-Primärkreiskanal begrenzen, mit an den Rändern (15) abdichtend aneinanderliegenden Begrenzugswänden der beiden Hohlkörper und mit an den Hohlkörpern angebrachten Aus- (20, 31) und Einlässen (19, 30) für beide Wärmetauschkreise. Bei einem bekannten Wärmetauscher dieser Art ist der zweite Hohlkörper (2) stoffschlüssig derart am ersten Hohlkörper (3) befestigt, daß er nach einer kurzen Ausziehbewegung über Scharniere vom ersten Hohlkörper weggeklappt werden kann. Dies erfordert einen hohen baulichen Aufwand und erschwert die bei der Herunterkühlung von Abwässern häufig notwendigen Reinigungszyklen. Erfindungsgemäß ist hiergegen vorgesehen, daß jeder Hohlkörper (2, 3) eine vom anderen Hohlkörper vollständig getrennte Baueinheit ist, und daß der erste Hohlkörper (3) fahrbar ausgebildet und bis zur vollständigen Trennung vom zweiten Hohlkörper (2) geradlinig aus diesem herausfahrbar ist.
