Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0271840A2] The lid of a barrel-shaped household package can be constructed in a child-resistant manner independently of the presence of a carrying handle if it consists of a lid ring (1), which is fixedly connected to the barrel, and a lid sheet (9) which is to be placed loosely in said lid ring, and if the inside periphery of the lid ring (1) is fitted with undercut segments (2), corresponding to which there are segment projections (10) provided on the periphery of the lid sheet (9) in such a way that the lid sheet (9) can be removed only in a certain relative position of the undercut segments (2) and the segment projections (10) (Figure 1). <IMAGE>
