A mitre corner joint for the fabrication of window frames, in particular casements, in which the window timbers are interconnected by means of at least one connecting plate which engages in slots in the two mitre faces and by at least one right-angled connecting angle and also by glueing, each of the legs of the connecting angle engaging in an axial bore of the window timbers from the direction of the mitre faces, is intended to be constructed in such a manner that, despite the fabrication of a satisfactory joint, the use of expensive machines or tools, such as, for example, frame presses, can be discarded. For this purpose, the invention provides that the ends of the legs of the connecting angle engage in blind holes which are open to the outside and extend transversely with respect to the particular axis of the window timbers, and that they can be subjected to tensile stress acting in the axial direction. <IMAGE>

Eine Eckverbindung von auf Gehrung geschnittenen Fensterhölzern (1,2) zur Herstellung von Fensterrahmen, insbesondere Flügelrahmen, bei welcher die Fensterhölzer (1,2) durch wenigstens ein in Schlitze (5,6) der beiden Gehrungsflächen (4) eingreifendes Verbindungsplättchen (7) und durch wenigstens einen rechtwinkligen Verbindungswinkel (10) sowie durch Verleimung miteinander verbunden sind, wobei der Verbindungswinkel (10) mit seinen Schenkeln (10a) jeweils in eine axiale Bohrung (8) der Fensterhölzer (1,2) von den Gehrungsflächen (4) her eingreift, soll so ausgebildet werden, daß trotz der Herstellung einer einwandfreien Verbindung die Verwendung aufwendiger Maschinen oder Werkzeuge, wie beispielsweise Rahmenpressen, entfallen kann. Hierzu ist erfindungsgemäß vorgesehen, daß die Enden (11) der Schenkel (10a) des Verbindungswinkels in quer zur jeweiligen Achse der Fensterhölzer (1,2) sich erstreckende nach außen offene Sacklöcher (9) eingreifen und daß sie einer in Achsrichtung wirkenden Zugspannung aussetzbar sind.
