An electromagnetic actuator with a magnet core (11) surrounded by a magnet coil (10) and having an angled magnet yoke (12), which is firmly connected to the magnet core, interacts with a hinged armature (13) and is characterised by the support of the hinged armature being located on the pole surface (14) of the magnet yoke in an angled recess, which is formed by this pole surface and an adjacent wall surface (23), by the hinged armature extending beyond the pole surface (15) of the magnet core (11) to a moving contact carrier (20) and having a force-fit connection therewith, by the hinged armature being guided by the moving contact carrier into its open position and being held therein, and by the hinged armature abutting in its open position in a longitudinal region between its bearing point and its connection point to the contact carrier on a stop edge (40) forming a lever joint, and being pressed onto that edge by the force of the contact carrier return spring, by which means the bearing edge of the hinged armature is held in force-fit contact on the pole surface of the magnet yoke. Ein elektromagnetischer Schal terantrieb mit einem von einer Magnetspule (10) umgebenen Magnetkern (11) und einem mit dem Magnetkern fest verbundenen, winkeligen Magnetjoch (12) wirkt mit einem Klappanker (13) zusammen und zeichnet sich dadurch aus, daß die Auflagerung des Klappankers auf der Polfläche (14) des Magnetjochs in einer Winkelnische gelegen ist, die aus dieser Polfläche und einer angrenzenden Wandungsfläche (23) gebildet ist, daß der Klappanker sich über die Polfläche (15) des Magnetkernes (11) hinweg bis hin zu einem beweglichen Kontaktträger (20) ertstreckt und mit diesem in kraftschlüssiger Verbindung steht, daß der Klappanker von dem beweglichen Kontaktträger in seine Öffnungsstellung geführt und hierin gehalten wird, und daß der Klappanker in seiner Öffnungsstellung in einem Längsbereich zwischen seiner Lagerstelle und seiner Verbindungsstelle mit dem Kontaktträger an einer eine Hebelgelenkstelle bildenden Anschlagkante (40) anliegt und hieran durch die Kraft der Rückstellfeder des Kontaktträgers angedrückt wird, wodurch die Lagerschneide des Klappankers in kraftschlüssiger Anlage an der Polfläche des Magnetjochs gehalten ist. Ein solcher Schalterantrieb weist eine geringe Anzahl von Montageteilen auf und ist einfach zu montieren.
