Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0272951A2] The sector of hot-goldplating printing. To the typographic machine, the bed (4) of which carries a heating plate (5) and a reel of raw tape (6), is added a tape conveyor mechanism arranged inside a frame (20). This mechanism comprises a carriage (22) equipped with a guide roller (24) and connected by means of rods (23) to the outer edge of the heating plate (5), the said carriage sliding within a fixed guide corridor. Two pairs of parallel compass arms (8, 9) are spaced by means of guide rollers, each pair comprising two arms connected to the top of the compass by means of a joint (10), the free end of the arm (9) being articulated at (12) on the said carriage and the free end of the arm (8) being articulated on a fixed point (11) of the frame (20). Between the said joints of one pair of arms and the joints of the other pair of arms are fixed three guide rollers (13, 14, 15). This installation makes it possible temporarily to adapt a typographic machine to hot goldplating, and its tape conveyor system ensures the tension of the tape over the entire alternating translational movement of the bed. <IMAGE>
