Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0273105A1] A bituminous sealing web containing a thermally or mechanically sensitive layer is produced with a virtual absence of tension using a cooling belt. As successive bituminous layers are applied they are cooled, which reduces the thermal expansion of said layers or laminates to such an extent that even cooling cannot introduce any unrelieved stresses which would cause the web to shrink on being laid.
