Abstract (en)
A length trimming machine for venetian blinds, the machine including a venetian blind head rail support (42) vertically movable on posts (40) by drive means (43,45,46,47,48). Two horizontally movable supports (ll,l2) end engaged in upper and lower horizontal guides (7,8). Means (l4) to move the carriage supports (ll,l2) relative to the guides (7,8). A blade carriage (22) on each carriage support (ll,l2) each engaged with a carriage moving screw (l7) with a drive (l9) for each screw (l7). A blade pair (30,33) mounted for horizontal movement on each blade carriage (22). Means (39) to move each blade pair and means (36,37) associated with each blade pair to cause one blade (33) to move relative to the other blade (30). Control means (5l) including slat sensing means (A,B) on one blade carriage (22) to operate the screw drives (l9) to vertically align the blade pairs (30,33) with the slats of a blind supported on the head rail support (42) and operate the blade pair moving means (39) and the blade moving means (36,37).
