[origin: US4802600A] A freight container for air transport has a support frame which is arranged on a baseplate, sections rising from the baseplate and transverse sections, connecting these, for a container roof, sheeting which at least partially fills in the support frame. One side of the freight container is provided with a loading opening, immediately adjoining the lateral loading opening, there is a gap in the container roof and this gap can be closed by a pivotable or displaceable portion of the container roof.

Bei einem Frachtbehälter für Lufttransporte (10) mit auf einer Bodenplatte (11) angeordnetem Traggerüst (13,14), welches von der Bodenplatte (11) aufragende Profile (13,14) und diese verbindende Querprofile (15,18,19) für eine Behälterdecke (30) aufweist sowie mit einer das Traggerüst (13,14) wenigstens teilweise ausfachender Beplankung (26) versehen ist, wobei eine Seite des Frachtbehälters (10) mit einer Beladeöffnung (20,34) ausgestattet ist, schliesst an die seitliche Beladeöffnung (20,34) eine Ausnehmung der Behälterdecke (30) unmittelbar an und ist von einem schwenkbaren (32) oder verschieblichen Abschnitt der Behälterdecke (30) verschliessbar.
