A wall covering for outer and inner building walls (1) consists of a supporting framework (2) for receiving a cover (4, 11). In order to obtain a permanent and resistant wall covering which can be produced economically, the supporting framework and cover form a built-on shell (2) composed of constructional elements (2a, 2b), the constructional elements (2a, 2b) which carry the cover (4, 11) on the front side having recesses (3, 9) and/or projections, extensions (5a) or the like on the rear side. <IMAGE>

Eine Wandverkleidung für Gebäudeaußen- und -innenwände (1) besteht aus einem Tragwerk (2) zur Aufnahme einer Abdeckung (4, 11). Um eine rationell herstellbare, dauerhafte und widerstandsfähige Wandverkleidung zu erreichen, bilden Tragwerk und Abdeckung eine aus Bauelementen (2a, 2b) aufgebaute Vorsatzschale (2), wobei die an der Vorderseite die Abdeckung (4, 11) tragenden Bauelemente (2a, 2b) an der Hinterseite Ausnehmungen (3, 9) und/oder Vorsprünge, Ansätze (5a) od.dgl. aufweisen.
