[origin: EP0274325A1] The invention relates to a signal lamp for a motor vehicle, of the type comprising a lamp (10), a reflector (20), a colourless transparent sealed lens (30), a coloured transparent bulbous element (40) disposed around the lamp and masking means for reducing the colour perceptibility of the bulbous element when the lamp is switched off. The masking means comprise a flexible transparent sheet (50) formed into a surface which can be laid out between the bulbous element and the lens and comprising transparent zones (51) and opaque zones (52) of specified colour which are produced by silk-screening. Application to a lamp emitting a coloured light radiation but having an essentially colourless appearance when it is switched off. <IMAGE>
