Abstract (en)
In a plug with a protective contact for electrical apparatuses which can be connected to a mains socket, the plug having an essentially U-shaped plug bridge for holding and fixing the conductors and the earth conductor of a load cable in the open region of the U, and for retention of the contact pins (which are electrically connected to the conductors) on the base of the U, and having a protective cap which covers the open region of the U and is locked thereto via a means of latching engaging on the underside of the plug bridge, the protective cap (2) has a projection (23) fitting over the connecting web (14) of the U in the region of the open sides, like a claw. This measure results in a major, significant improvement in the electrical safety of a plug with a protective contact. <IMAGE>

Bei einem Schutzkontaktstecker für an eine Netzsteckdose anschließbare elektrische Geräte, mit einer im wesentlichen U-förmigen Steckerbrücke zur Aufnahme und Fixierung der Stromleiter und des Schutzleiters einer Verbraucherleitung im offenen Bereich des U, und zur Aufnahme der galvanisch mit den Stromleitern verbundenen Kontaktstifte am Boden des U, und mit einer Schutzkappe, die den offenen Bereich des U überdeckt und über an der Unterseite der Steckerbrücke einklinkende Rastmittel mit dieser verriegelt ist, weist die Schutzkappe (2) einen den Verbindungssteg (14) des U im Bereich der offenen Seiten überkragenden Ansatz (23) auf. Mit dieser Maßnahme wird die elektrische Sicherheit eines Schutzkontaktsteckers ganz wesentlich verbessert.
