[origin: EP0274624A1] The manually-operated circuit breaker (1) has a manual operation lever (6) which can be rotated on a projecting housing part (7) about a shaft (5) which is preferably at right angles to the plane of attachment (8). As well as the projecting housing part (7) of the circuit breaker (1), an overcurrent trip block (2) can be pushed in which has a safety device (11) with a window-like cut-out (12) for the manual operating lever (6), the cut-out forming an opening for the manual operating lever (6) in its neutral position and, in its switched-on positions, gripped behind the manual operating lever (6) on the edge such that the trip block (2) is secured by the manual operating lever (6) against the circuit breaker (1) being pulled out. The manual operating lever (6) furthermore has a locking slide (25) (which can be moved out from its handle end) with a suspension opening for a suspension shackle or the like, which locking slide has an interlock slot which grips over a locking tab on the front side (10) of the circuit breaker (1) and is firmly interlocked in its locked position when the shackle is suspended in place. <IMAGE>
