Abstract (en)
The invention relates to a silo for automobiles, made of steel or reinforced concrete, provided with superposed, side-by-side, mutually opposite and facing compartments (14) into which the automobiles are ensiled by means of a robot carriage (5) comprising telescopic, bilateral combs (22) adapted to penetrate both the combs (15) arranged at the bottom of each compartment (14) and constituting the supporting base for the ensiled automobiles, and the combs (48-49-60) of the loading and unloading platforms (42) existing in the silo. The motion of the robot carriage is effected by a transelevator (44) running on rails (20-77), which has no capstans or counterweights on board and, therefore, is light, particularly rapid and reliable, and which effects all the horizontal, vertical or coordinate displacements required for a rapid and reliable parking of automobiles.
