[origin: EP0275235A2] The window or door construction has a turn-and-tilt wing. One leg (19) of the wing has a sectional bar (41) with a groove (45) of T-shape cross-section, in which two sectional rods (65, 67) are guided displaceably. These are connected to a slide (63) guided displaceably in a housing (75). The housing (75) contains a rotary element (81) for displacing the slide (63) and projects through a slot-shaped hole (47) in the sectional portion (41b) of the sectional bar (41) delimiting the bottom of the groove (45) from a cavity (43). A support (87) holding a handle (37) pivotably is fastened to the sectional bar (41) by means of screws which at the same time secure the housing (75). The handle (37) is connected fixedly in terms of rotation to the rotary element by means of a spindle (89). The middle portion (63a) of the slide (63) is arranged, in cross-section, within the groove (45), thereby largely avoiding the generation of tilting moments during the transmission of force between the slide (63) and the sectional rods (65, 67) and allowing an economical production of the lock (35). <IMAGE>
