[origin: US4875727A] A cover member is adapted to a multilock fitting applicable to doors, windows or the like, this fitting consisting essentially of a casement bolt, or a plurality of lock- or striker plate blocks. The cover member consists of a rectangular-sectioned tubular element of which one of the minor sides is coplanar with the lateral edge of the jamb of the movable or fixed frame of the door, window or the like, one of the major sides of the tubular element provided with apertures covering the plurality of lock- or striker plate blocks and comprising detent-positioning means interposed between the lock- or striker plate blocks and the inner surface of the movable or fixed frame, respectively, of the door, window or the like.

Un élément de recouvrement d'une ferrure à verrouillage multipoints mise en applique sur une porte, fenêtre ou analogue et composée d'une crémone-serrure, ou d'une pluralité de blocs de serrures, ou de gâches, cet élément de recouvrement comportant un profilé tubulaire (1), de section rectangulaire, dont un des petits côtés (7) est à fleur avec le chant (8) du montant de l'ouvrant (4) ou du dormant et dont un des grands côtés (2), pourvu d'ouvertures (5, 6), coiffe la pluralité de blocs de serrures ou de gâches et comporte des moyens de clipage s'interposant entre les blocs de serrures ou de gâches et la face interne (3), respectivement de l'ouvrant ou du dormant de la porte, fenêtre ou analogue.
