Abstract (en)

Device for heating gas to a high temperature, supplying the hot gas under pressure continuously by an alternate regeneration system, in a vertical single enclosure (1) packed entirely with thermal masses (3). It is provided with means (5,5',9,9',12,12') for pressurising, on the one hand, the gas to be heated and, on the other hand, the combustion air, as well as means for controlling, on the one hand, the flow rate of gas to be heated, the flow of combustion air and, on the other hand, the flow rate of extracted burnt gases. It may additionally comprise a system for purging the reactor of the residual gases at the time of the reversal and, optionally, a turbine for decompressing (14) the burnt gases. <IMAGE>

Dispositif de chauffage de gaz à haute température, fournissant le gaz chaud sous pression en continu par un système régénératif alterné, dans une enceinte unique verticale (1) garnie entièrement de masses thermiques (3). Il est pourvu de moyens (5,5',9,9',12,12') pour mettre sous pression d'une part le gaz à réchauffer et d'autre part l'air de combustion, ainsi que de moyens pour contrôler d'une part le débit de gaz à réchauffer, le débit d'air de combustion et d'autre part le débit de gaz brûles extraits. Il peut en outre comporter un système pour purger le réacteur des gaz résiduels au moment de l'inversion et, éventuellement, une turbine de détente (14) des gaz brûlés.
