Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0276379A2] A fastening device for fittings on wings and/or frames of windows, doors or the like, formed from metal and/or plastic sections, is described. The fastening device is especially suitable for the bearing rose 5 of the actuating mechanism of driving-rod fittings. It consists of screw members 8 with a threaded shank 8a and a thickened head part 8b which is equipped with tool engagement surfaces 13. When the windows, doors or the like are in the closed position, at least the head parts 8b of the screw members 8 are arranged within the free space between the rebate surfaces of the wing 1 and frame 2 and the end faces 8c of the head parts 8b confront the outside of the window or door. So that, when the wing 1 is locked in the closed position on the fixed frame 2, the screw members cannot be released even when their respective installation region is exposed by the execution of outer bores in the metal and/or plastic sections or by the bending of section parts, the end faces 8c of the head parts 8b on the screw members 8 have a conical or spherical shape. The tool engagement surfaces 13 are located under the end faces 8c on the head parts 8b and are accessible only from the side. At least the head parts 8b of the screw members 8 are hardened or are provided on their end faces 8c with an armour plating. <IMAGE>
