Abstract (en)

[origin: JPS6420338A] PURPOSE: To provide the subject device capable of reducing radiation heat with almost no energy consumption by crimping a fiber cable, treating the crimped cable on a gas permeable screen plate during carrying the cable and taking out the treated crimped cake from the treating device. CONSTITUTION: This method for treating a fiber cable is to crimp the fiber cable, treat the crimped fiber cable on a gas permeable screen plate during traveling the cable and take out the treated crimped cake from a treating device. A gas flow 6 which flows from a crimping device to the treating device is fed back to a pass 10 through a pipe 9 via a food 7, a duct 8, a heat exchanger, etc., and blown onto a screen plate with a circulating flow. The crimped cake 4 is transported through a treating area, then taken out from an opening 14 with a partial flow of the treating gas.
