A gas flow 6 which flows from a crimping device to the treating device is fed back to a pass 10 through a pipe 9 via a food 7, a duct 8, a heat exchanger, etc., and blown onto a screen plate with a circulating flow. The crimped cake 4 is transported through a treating area, then taken out from an opening 14 with a partial flow of the treating gas.
