Abstract (en)

A sliding door or sliding window (10) for closure of external walls of buildings, with a number of leaves (14) which are interconnected in an articulated manner and displaceable, is to be formed in such a manner that sealing which is simple and thermally insulating to the maximum extent is brought about with at the same time simple construction and embodiment. To this end, the leaves (14) which are in each case adjacent to one another and interconnected via a common hinge pin (16) so that there is one joint to be sealed per articulation point. Moreover, in each case only one hinge joint is required for the connection of two adjacent leaves (14). The guide devices for displacing the leaves along the horizontal frame beams (15) are connected to a hinge tongue which thus takes on the function of support for the guide devices as well as a hinge function. <IMAGE>

2. Eine Schiebe-Tür oder Schiebe-Fenster (10) zum Abschluß von Gebäudeaußenwänden mit mehreren, untereinander gelenkig verbundenen und verschiebbaren Flügeln (14) soll so gestaltet werden, daß sich eine einfache und in höchstem Maße wärmeisolierende Abdichtung ergibt bei gleichzeitiger einfacher Konstruktion und Ausführungsform. Zu diesem Zweck sind die jeweils einander benachbarten Flügel (14) über eine gemeinsame Scharnierachse (16) miteinander verbunden, so daß sich pro Gelenkpunkt eine abzudichtende Fuge ergibt. Außerdem wird somit nur jeweils ein Scharnierband für die Verbindung zweier benachbarter Flügel (14) benötigt. Die Führungseinrichtungen zum Verschieben der Flügel längs der waagerecht verlaufenden Blendrahmenholme (15) sind an einem Scharnierschwert angeschlossen, welches somit die Funktion als Träger für die Führungseinrichtungen wie auch eine Scharnierfunktion übernimmt.
