Abstract (en)
The present invention refers to a contact insert (6), which can be inserted in a connector housing, having an earth connection to the housing body. Such contact inserts are used in so-called filter connectors in which a filter disc is intended to be connected to the housing earth of an equipment. In conventional contact inserts, the earth connection to the housing is produced indirectly via a housing of the filter connector, it being impossible to avoid an increased contact resistance in unfavourable circumstances. In order to reduce the contact resistance between the contact insert and the housing body, without major design cost, a radially sprung-elastic body compression ring (16) is provided radially between the contact insert and the housing, which ring produces the earth connection between the contact insert and the housing. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft einen in ein Steckergehäuse einsetzbaren Kontakteinsatz (6) mit einem Masseanschluß an die Gehäusemasse. Solche Kontakteinsätze finden bei sogenannten Filtersteckern Verwendung, bei denen eine Filterscheibe an die Gehäusemasse eines Gerätes angeschlossen werden soll. Bei herkömmlichen Kontakteinsätzen ist der Masseanschluß an das Gehäuse indirekt über ein Gehäuse des Filtersteckers erfolgt, wobei unter ungünstigen Umständen ein erhöhter übergangswiderstand nicht auszuschließen ist. Um den übergangswiderstand zwischen dem Kontakteinsatz und der Gehäusemasse ohne großen konstruktiven Aufwand zu verringern ist radial zwischen dem Kontakteinsatz und dem Gehäuse ein radial federelastischer Massefederring (16) eingesetzt, der den Masseschluß zwischen dem Kontakteinsatz und dem Gehäuse herstellt.
