Die Erfindung betrifft die Verwendung von cyclischen Estern der schwefligen Säure mit einem aliphatischen 1,2-Diol anstelle eines üblicherweise verwendeten pH-Regulators als Hilfsmittel bei der Färbung von Textilmaterialien aus natürlichen oder synthetischen Polyamiden oder ihrer Gemische und ein Verfahren zum Färben dieser Textilmaterialien in Gegenwart eines cyclischen Esters der schwefligen Säure mit einem aliphatischen 1,2-Diol.
