The invention relates to a closure sleeve for dyeing spindles (1) equipped at the upper end with threads (4), comprising a bushing (10) which has a cylindrical bore (9) for the dyeing spindle end section and which has inwardly displaceable blocking jaws (10) which at their inner surface (17') engage with the threads (4) and which, through displacement of an operating lever (15), are releasable for outward movement. The invention proposes that to achieve a loss-free flow of dyeing liquor or drying air even in the case of extreme shrinkages of the yarn package the blocking jaws (17) be compressible into the thread engagement position (Fig. 3) under the weight of the closure sleeve. The closure sleeve is self-adjusting. <IMAGE>

Die Erfinding betrifft eine Verschlußhülse (V) für am oberen Ende mit Gewindegängen (4) ausgestattete Färbespindeln (1), mit einer eine zylindrische Durchtrittsbohrung (9) für den Farbspindel-Endabschnitt aufweisenden Büchse (10), die einwärts verlagerbare, mit ihrer Innenflanke (17') an den Gewindegängen (4) angreifenden Sperrbacken (17) aufweist, die durch Verlagerung einer Bedienungshandhabe (15) zur Auswärtsbewegung freigebbar sind und schlägt zur Erzielung eines selbst bei extremen Schrumpfungsgraden des Garnwickelkuchens verlustfreien Strömungsflusses für die Farbflotte oder Trocknungsluft vor, daß die Sperrbacken (17) unter dem Schwergewicht der Verschlußhülse (V) in die Gewindeeingriffsstellung (Fig. 3) einrückbar sind. Die Verschlußhülse (V) stellt sich selbsttätig nach.
