A granulated builder for detergents, consisting of: 60 to 80% by weight of a water-insoluble silicate capable of binding calcium, in the form of a finely divided, synthetically prepared, water-insoluble, crystalline compound containing bound water, of the formula (Cat2/nO)x.Me2O3.(SiO2)y (I) in which Cat denotes a cation, which can be replaced by calcium, of the valency n, x denotes a number from 0.7 to 1.5, Me denotes boron or aluminium and y denotes a number from 0.8 to 6, 0 to 5% by weight of sodium sulphate, 0 to 3% by weight of non-ionic surfactant, 0 to 1% by weight of carboxymethylcellulose and/or methylcellulose and 3 to 10% by weight of hydroxyethaneiminodiacetate disodium salt and the remainder water, can be prepared by spray drying of an aqueous suspension in which all the components are dispersed or dissolved. <IMAGE>

Granulierter Waschmittelbuilder, bestehend aus: 60 bis 80 Gew.-% eines wasserunlöslichen, zum Binden von Calcium befähigten Silikates in Form einer feinverteilten, gebundenes Wasser enthaltenden, synthetisch hergestellten, wasserunlöslichen, kristallinen Verbindung der allgemeinen Formel (Kat2/nO)x . Me2O3 . (SiO2)y (I), in der Kat ein mit Calcium austauschbares Kation der Wertigkeit n, x eine Zahl von 0,7 bis 1,5 Me Bor oder Aluminium und y eine Zahl von 0,8 bis 6 bedeutet, 0 bis 5 Gew.-% Natriumsulfat 0 bis 3 Gew.-% nichtionisches Tensid 0 bis 1 Gew.-% Carboxymethylcellulose und/oder Methylcellulose 3 bis 10 Gew.-% Hydroxyethanimino -di- acetat -di- Natriumsalz Rest Wasser, kann durch Sprühtrocknen einer wässrigen Suspension, in der alle Komponenten dispergiert bzw. gelöst sind, hergestellt werden.
