A safety brake for a driven shaft, with brake disc and cam plate for a running roller which can be pressed thereon by a tripping spring and has a pawl engaging during excessive speed. So that this safety brake can be designed in such a way that it can respond for both directions of rotation, it is proposed that two toothed rings (5) with opposed blocking action of the teeth (5a) as well as a basic body (16) with a pawl bolt (12) for opposite pawls (11) be arranged on the shaft (1). An unlocking pin (20) and a locking bolt (21) are mounted in the basic body (16) for the simultaneous engagement and release of the pawls (11). <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Fangbremse für eine angetriebene Welle mit Bremsscheibe und Kurvenscheibe für eine von einer auslösefeder darauf drückbare Laufrolle mit einer bei überhöhter Drehzahl einrastenden Sperrklinke. Um diese Fangbremse für beide Drehrichtungen ansprechbbar zu gestalten, wird vorgeschlagen, daß auf der Welle (1) zwei Zahnringe (5) mit entgegengerichteter Sperrwirkung der Zähne (5a) sowie ein Grundkörper (16) mit einem Sperrklinkenbolzen (12) für entgegengesetzt gerichtete Sperrklinken (11) angeordnet sind, für deren gleichzeitiges Einrasten und Lösen im Grundkörper (16) ein Entriegelungsstift (20) und ein Verriegelungsbolzen (21) gelagert sind.
