[origin: US4810033A] Disclosed is an adjustable chair backrest having a frame and deformable material covering one side of the frame. A pressure having a rigid lower portion and an elastically deformable upper portion is mounted on a cam. The plate and cam pivot about an axis in response to rotation of a spindle to cause outward movement of the deformable material.

Es wird eine verstellbare Rückenlehne eines Stuhles, Sessels oder dergleichen vorgesehen, bei der zur besseren Anpassung der ergonometrischen Gestaltung an die jeweiligen Erfordernisse des Benutzers in der Anlagefläche 4 der Rückenlehne 1 ein verformbarer Abschnitt 5 angeordnet ist, der durch eine Verstelleinrichtung 8, 12 relativ zur übrigen Anlagefläche 4 verformbar bzw. verstellbar ist (Fig. 1).
