[origin: EP0279418A2] The profiled slat has tongue and groove-type continuations 16, 17 for joining together several portions of the profiled slat one above the other. The profiled slat is constructed as an extrusion profile 1 made of plastic or aluminium, it has several chambers 12, 13, 14, 15, serving for reinforcement, and has on the one side at least one hanging slot 6 and, on the other side, at least one attachment groove 11. The hanging slot 6 is arranged halfway up the front side 5 of the profiled slat. Adjoining the hanging slot 6 on both sides are frontal webs 4 of equal height which are arranged set back in relation to the tongue and groove-type continuations 16, 17 by half the width of one hanging slot 6. <IMAGE>
