The case according to the invention comprises two components (1) connected to each other by connection means (2, 3). These two components have rims (4) which come to confront each other when the case is closed, and means (10) for supporting the instrument when the case is closed. It is characterised in that over at least a portion (6) of the length of their confronting rims, the two components remain apart from one another after the case is closed. <IMAGE>

L'étui selon l'invention comporte deux éléments (1) raccordés l'un à l'autre par des moyens de liaison (2,3), ces deux éléments comportent des bords (4) venant en regard lors de la fermeture de l'étui et des moyens de maintien (10) de l'instrument lors de la fermeture de l'étui, il est caractérisé en ce que sur une partie (6) au moins de leurs bords en regard, les deux éléments sont espacés l'un de l'autre après fermeture de l'étui.
