[origin: EP0280025A2] A yarn-tensioning device, which serves for the tensioning of in particular textile yarns (F), has two rollers (10, 11) which are mounted rotatably by means of parallel roller axles (24) in particular on a bobbin creel, one of which rollers is designed in a hollow pot- like manner as a yarn roller (10) and is on its outer circumference at least partially surrounded by a yarn (F), and the other of which as pressure roller (11) has a coating made of elastic material and thus bears with adjustable bearing pressure against a tensioning surface of an area of the yarn roller (10) and rolls thereon when the yarn (F) is drawn off. In order to reduce wear, the yarn-tensioning device is designed in such a manner that the tensioning surface (31) is arranged on the roller axle (24) of the pot-like yarn roller (10) and that the roller axle diameter of the pot-like yarn roller (10) is smaller in the region of the tensioning surface (31) than the diameter of the pressure roller (11). <IMAGE>
