In the method, two setting-up profiles having draw-off edges are laid in the correct position on a base, with the draw-off edges directed upwards, at a distance from one another corresponding to the wall thickness of a masonry to be erected and, after being aligned, are bonded to the base with their draw-off edges at the same level. Thereafter, the interspace between the setting-up profiles is filled with mortar, and then the mortar filling is smoothed off to the same level by means of the draw-off edges of the setting-up profiles. It has proved especially advantageous for this purpose to have U-shaped setting-up profiles which can be bonded to the base, with their legs directed downwards, so that their webs then pointing upwards form the draw-off edge. <IMAGE>

Bei dem Verfahren werden auf einem Untergrund (30) in einem der Wandstärke eines zu errichtenden Mauerwerks entsprechenden Abstand voneinander zwei mit Abzugskanten (13) versehene Profilleisten (10) mit nach oben gerichteten Abzugskanten lagerichtig verlegt und nach dem Ausrichten mit ihren Abzugskanten (13) auf gleichem Niveau auf dem Untergrund (30) befestigt. Danach wird der Zwischenraum zwischen den Profilleisten mit Mörtel (34) verfüllt und dann die Mörtelverfüllung über die Abzugskanten (13) der Profilschienen (10) niveaugleich abgestrichen. Als besonders vorteilhaft für diesen Zweck haben sich U-förmige Profilleisten erwiesen, die mit nach unten gerichteten Schenkeln (11, 12) auf dem Untergrund zu befestigen sind, so daß deren dann nach oben weisende Stege die Abzugskante (13) bilden.
