[origin: US4889364A] A ski-carrying element that enables a ski to be carried by hand substantially horizontally, in a balanced fashion. The ski-carrying element has, on the one hand, a fixed part provided with means for fastening to the sole piece of the ski on the face having the ski boot bindings, and, on the other, a part used for gripping and adapted to move between an unfolded position, in which it goes beyond one of the sides of the sides of the ski when the ski-carrying element is being used, and a retracted position in said fixed part in the non-operative position of said ski-carrying element, including the operative position of the ski. The movable part is so mounted as to pivot about an axis perpendicular to the sole piece of the ski, and the fixed part has an abutment means against which the movable part bears in the operative position of the ski-carrying element, under the effect of the heavier weight of the part of the ski located behind said ski-carrying element relative to the axis of rotation.

Cet élément porte-ski (201) permet de transporter un ski (202) à la main, de manière équilibrée. Il comporte une partie (205) fixée a la semelle du ski (202), ainsi qu'une partie de préhension (206) comportant un élément (213) de liaison à la partie (205) et une poignée (214), et montée pivotante autour d'un axe (311) perpendiculaire au ski (202), entre une position déployée et une position escamotée dans la partie (205). Celle-ci comporte une butée (223) contre laquelle la partie (206) est en appui dans la position d'utilisation de l'élément (201), sous l'effet d'un plus grand poids de la partie du ski (202) située à l'arrière de l'élément (201) par rapport à l'axe (211). L'élément (213) peut être monté coulissant sur une platine (207) de la partie (205), dans une direction perpendiculaire à la ligne moyenne du ski (202), d'un coté de celle-ci, entre une position correspondant à la position de non-utilisation de l'élément (201), et une position extraite, dans laquelle il est seulement alors apte à pivoter autour de l'axe (211).
