At least one region of the outer surface of the visible part of the said end is coloured to indicate the operating state of the device. It is characterised in that the coloured surface of the indicator region is the surface of a piece (6) manufactured separately and that the end of the lever (A) is shaped to allow an advantageously removable assembling of the said piece (6) on the lever (A). <??>The invention is applicable to a handle for actuating an electrical switch. <IMAGE>
