The device presupposes side plates (1,2) in which a platen roll (7) is mounted and, additionally, a friction drive (a pair of rolls) for single sheets (9) or continuous webs (10) not containing edge perforations which are to be transported and a pair of sprocket feed wheels (13) which operate in a push or pull mode. <??>In order to create a universal paper transport device for different types of paper, in which the respective paper type is ready for use, it is proposed that the pair of sprocket feed wheels (14a, 14b) is capable of being driven by a gear wheel (21) which is rotationally fixed to the sprocket wheel shaft (17) and which may be connected to and disconnected from the paper drive motor (22) by a friction coupling, and that by means of a lever mechanism (31) the pair of sprocket feed wheels (14a, 14b) can be swivelled with respect to the paper guidance plane in a direction (33) approximately tangential to the upper side of the circumference (36) or to the lower side of the circumference (34) of the platen roll. <IMAGE>

Eine Vorrichtung für den Papiertransport in einer Büromaschine, insbesondere in einem Matrixdrucker, setzt Seitenplatinen (1,2) voraus, in denen ein Druckwiderlager (7) gelagert ist und außerdem einen Friktionsantrieb (ein Walzenpaar) für zu transportierende Einzelblätter (9) bzw. nicht randgelochte Endlosbahnen (10) und paarweise vorgesehene Traktoren (13), die im Zug- oder Schubbetrieb arbeiten. Um für unterschiedliche Papiersorten eine universelle Papiertransportvorrichtung zu schaffen, in der die jeweilige Papiersorte bereitsteht, wird vorgeschlagen, daß das Traktorenpaar (14a, 14b) mittels eines auf der Traktorwelle (17) drehfesten Traktorenzahnrades (21) antreibbar ist, das in und außer eine kraftschlüssige Verbindung mit dem Papierantriebsmotor (22) setzbar ist und daß das Traktorenpaar (14a,14b) mittels eines Hebelgetriebes (31), bezogen auf die Papierführungsebene (32) jeweils in eine etwa tangentiale Richtung (33) zur Umfang-Oberseite (36) oder zur Umfang-Unterseite (34) des Druckwiderlagers (7) verschwenkbar ist.
