[origin: EP0281022A1] The controllable pitch propeller (1) is mounted with the propeller shaft (3) in a shaft bearing (6). The shaft bearing (6) is supported on the walls of a supporting body (21) by means of a support (27). The supporting body (21) is fastened to the hull (25) of the water craft and is designed as a hollow tube. Apart from the support (27), the adjusting linkage (7) for adjusting the propeller blades (2) is also accommodated in the supporting body (21), while a linear motor (15) provided for driving the adjusting linkage (7) is arranged in the interior of the hull. With a yoke (36), the arm (12), directed downwards, of the adjusting lever (8) encloses the propeller shaft (3) and is connected to a stirrup (35) by means of two joints (37). The stirrup (35) has two straps (38), which are directed towards the propeller hub (4) and are connected by joints (39) to a rotary slide coupling (16) of the connecting-rod linkage (16, 20), and transmits the movements produced by the linear motor (15) to the propeller blades (2). Owing to the fact that the supporting body (21) accommodates both the shaft bearing (6) and the adjusting linkage (7), a space-saving and simple solution is provided. <IMAGE>
