Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0281063A2] To avoid the danger of inward collapse of milk tankers due to severe reduction in internal pressure during conventional cleaning cycles, a valve is introduced into the wall (6) of the tanker. To avoid spillage of milk through the valve when the tanker is in transit, the valve is kept closed by spring means. For reasons of hygiene, the inner surface of the valve is arranged to be flush with the inner surface of the tank wall (6) in the closed position.
