[origin: US4984598A] A system for working on the water box of a nuclear power station steam generator comprises a first member having a substantially elongate shape and forming a first arm of the system and a second member having a substantially elongate shape. The second member is articulated at one end to one end of the first member. The combination of the first and second arms is adapted to be inserted into the water box of the steam generator through the manhole. The second member may be moved to a deployed position relative to the first member. A vehicle mounted on and mobile relative to the second arm is used to scan and decontaminate the various parts of the water box of the steam generator. A working device such as a decontamination device is carried by the vehicle. It is able to reach a plurality of areas on the internal surface of the steam generator. A remote control system is provided for the vehicle and the working device.

L'invention est relative à un système de d'intervention sur la boîte à eau d'un générateur de vapeur de centrale nucléaire. Le système comprend un premier élement (1) ayant une forme sensiblement allongée et formant un premier bras du système et un deuxième élément (2) ayant une forme sensiblement allongée. Le deuxième élément (2) est articulé à un de ses extrémités à une extrémité du premier élément (1). L'ensemble du premier et du deuxième bras (2) est susceptible d'être introduit dans la boîte à eau (BAE) du générateur de vapeur, par l'intermédiaire du trou d'homme (TH). Le deuxième élement (2) peut être mis en position déployée par rapport au premier élément (1). Un véhicule (3) monté mobile par rapport au deuxième bras (2) permet d'explorer et d'assurer la décontamination des différentes parties de la boîte à eau (BAE) du générateur de vapeur. Un moyen d'intervention tel que de décontamination (30) est porté par le véhicule (3). Il est susceptible d'atteindre une pluralité de zones de la surface interne du générateur de vapeur. Des moyens (6) de commande à distance du véhicule (3) et des moyens d'intervention (30) sont prévus.
