[origin: US4855698A] A protective switching apparatus with remote controlled opening and closing is provided including a tripping mechanism connected to an assembly comprising at least two fixed contacts and two mobile contacts and to a magnetic and/or thermal trip; a resetting member and an electromagnet having a movable element and to a member for driving a least one pseudo-fixed or mobile contact. The mobile contacts are carried by a bridge having a plane of symmetry X-X and the tripping mechanism extends in the vicinity of the plane of symmetry X-X. The electromagnet and the trip are housed in the case on each side of the tripping mechanism in a direction perpendicular to the plane of symmetry.

Cet interrupteur comprend : un mécanisme de déclenchement (36) relié à un ensemble comprenant au moins deux contacts fixes (18,19) et deux contacts mobiles (20,21) et à un déclencheur magnétique et/ou thermique (30,31) ; un organe de réenclenchement (36), et un électro-aimant (40) muni d'un élément (41) mobile et à un organe d'entraînement d'au moins un contact pseudo-fixe ou mobile. Les contacts mobiles (20,21) sont portés par un pont (22) ayant un plan de symétrie (X-X) et le mécanisme de déclenchement (36) s'étend au voisinage du plan de symétrie (X-X). L'électro-aimant (40) et le déclencheur (30,31) sont logés dans le boîtier de part et d'autre du mécanisme de déclenchement (30) dans une direction (Y-Y) perpendiculaire au plan de symétrie.
