Abstract (en)
In a lost foam process in which a complete, positive pattern of a thermally decomposable material is inserted into a flask containing sand, the sand is compacted by vibration. The casting metal is poured onto the thermally decomposable pattern, and the pattern is decomposed by casting heat. <??>So that shaped pieces having critical hollow spaces can be reliably moulded by the moulding sand and filled up with the same, the sand, while being poured in, is subjected to vacuum in order to enclose the pattern. The filling of the flask with sand and the compaction of the same is helped by the sand being vibrated at the same time as the vacuum is applied to it. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Bei einem Vollformverfahren, bei dem ein komplettes, positives Modell (2) aus einem thermisch zersetzbaren Material in einen Formkasten (1) mit Sand eingesetzt wird, wird der Sand durch Rütteln (4) verfestigt. Das Gießmetall wird auf das thermisch zersetzbare Modell gegossen und das Modell durch Gießhitze zersetzt. Um auch Formstücke mit kritischen Hohlräumen sicher durch den Formsand einzuformen und aufzufüllen, wird während des Sandeinfüllens der Sand zum Einschließen des Modells einem Unterdruck (5) ausgesetzt. Die Auffüllung und Verfestigung des Sandes wird dadurch noch begünstigt, daß während der Beaufschlagung des Sandes mit Unterdruck gleichzeitig gerüttelt wird.
