Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0281878A1] 1. Concealed valve for use in sanitary installations, with a valve housing (1) having connecting openings (10) for the incoming and outgoing supply line and a valve insert or valve upper part (2) having standard dimensions with an operating spindle (21) and a protective sleeve (3) connected to the valve insert or valve upper part (2) and surrounding the operating spindle (21), on which protective sleeve there is rotatably mounted an operating handle (6) coupled with the operating spindle (21), characterized in that the protective sleeve (3) comprises at least two parts that are arranged to be telescoped one inside the other, and the projecting one part is constructed as a cap (32) and is screwed by means of a thread (33) onto the other part which is constructed as, in relation to the first part, a lower sleeve (31, 31a) and is secured to the valve insert housing (22), wherein on the cap (32) there is formed an external collar (321) for the engagement of a rose (4), and coaxial in the protective sleeve (3) on the operating spindle (21) there is placed, so that it is resistant to torsion, an extension piece (51, 51a) which is arranged to be coupled with continuous adjustment, so that it is resistant to torsion but capable of telescoped displacement, with an extension spindle (5) which is mounted, so as to be axially fixed but rotatable, on the end region of the cap (32) and has a projecting pin (52) on which means are provided for receiving the grip piece (6) in a manner resistant to torsion.
