Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0281995A2] An electrical continuous-flow heater, particularly for connection to a three-phase supply. Such a continuous-flow heater is fitted with a multi-pin functional switching-contact device, which closes the heating circuit at the start of the engagement process, and a safety switching device which interrupts all the pins of the heating circuit. In order to reduce the design complexity for both switching devices, the functional switching-contact device (3) and the safety switching device (12) are combined into a single switching or structural unit, a common double snap-spring contact arrangement being provided for both switching devices. This measure permits a compact, space-saving design of the two switching devices which are used for connecting the heating circuit of a continuous-flow heater to a three-phase supply. <IMAGE>
