[origin: WO8802245A1] A new type of spring (9) dentures of the upper jaw is disclosed to improve anchorage of the denture on the upper jaw. The spring has a statically and precisely defined excursion and applies a restoring force in a determined position of the lower jaw denture (1) in relation to the upper jaw denture (2), without being felt as a foreign body in the mouth. The wire-shaped denture spring (9) is an articulated tension spring that lies close against the denture profile, is spherically bent and has no screw-shaped spring coil at its articulation point. The wire ends of the articulated tension spring extend forward beyond its anchoring points (7) on the front part of the upper jaw and lower jaw denture, up to a turning point (8), from which they turn back to their anchoring points.

Afin d'améliorer les possibilités de fixation de prothèses dentaires à la mâchoire supérieure, un nouveau type de ressort (9) a une excursion exactement définie à l'état statique et exerce une force de rappel dans une position déterminée de la prothèse (1) de la mâchoire inférieure par rapport à la prothèse (2) de la mâchoire supérieure, sans être ressenti dans la bouche comme un corps étranger. A cet effet, le ressort à fil métallique (9) a la forme d'un ressort articulé de rappel épousant étroitement le contour du dentier, arrondi vers l'extérieur et ne comprenant pas de spires hélicoïdales à son point d'articulation. Les extrémités du fil métallique qui forme le ressort articulé de rappel s'étendent en avant, au-delà de leurs points de fixation (7) situés dans la partie antérieure des prothèses dentaires de la mâchoire supérieure et de la mâchoire inférieure, jusqu'à un point tournant (8) d'où ils reviennent en arrière jusqu'à leurs points de fixation.
