Grooved roof tile with a plain side groove (2) with outer (15) and inner (16) side nibs, a central tile area (1), at least one covering bead (5) and a plain top groove (3) with an outer top nib (7) and an inner top nib (8) extending over the central tile area (1) and a covering bead (5), characterised in that an outer bottom nib (21) rests on the central tile area (1) and essentially the covering bead (5) of the overlapped tile, and the outer top nib (7) extends except for a slight clearance up to the lower surface of the overlapping tile, the heights of the inner top nib (8) and an inner bottom nib (22) are approximately equal and smaller by a slight clearance than half the height of the outer bottom nib (21), and in the top groove (3) at the four-tile corner is provided a slide-over platform (10) which is enclosed by nibs (11) and opens only towards the top groove and hence the central tile area (1).
