Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0282957A1] The guiding and deflection elements, consisting of flexible and washable material, such as polyamide, for the tensioning cords (2) of a Roman shade (1) contain an attachment plate (10) which is fixedly connected to a guide loop (3), hanging down from said plate, and are attached, e.g. sewn on or in, solely to the shade material. Since they can be mounted and demounted together with said shade material and the tensioning cords, the time-consuming unthreading and threading-in of the tensioning cords is not required. Their vertical portions can extend on the rear side (1b) of the shade material and be guided to the front side (1a) through holes (23) arranged near to the deflection elements attached to said front side (1a), which facilitates the handling of the cord bundle. A hollow bar, which can likewise be removed together with the shade material, having a slot in its lower end (15), can serve for arresting, in that the bundle of tensioning cords can be clamped in said slot. The attachment of the lower end of the tensioning cords to the shade material can be of detachable construction in that a thickening at the end of the cord is clamped in a slot of a U-shaped bent strip which, in turn, is enclosed, e.g. by press studs or press-on closure, in the pocket of the shade material intended for receiving the drop bar.
