[origin: WO8802231A1] The decanting basket (1) is provided with a holder (6) for an electric battery (7) and with an electric light source arranged in the region which receives the neck (2a) of the bottle, in particular an incandescent lamp (4). The latter is connected via a conductor (5) with the battery holder (6). A switch (8), fitted on this conductor on the lower side of the basket, is so arranged that it interrupts the conductor (5) when the basket (1) stands on a support piece, and closes the circuit when the basket is raised from the support, so that the incandescent lamp (4) shines through the neck of the bottle during pouring. In this way it is very easy to dispense clear, pure wine and to stop pouring as soon as a deposit appears in the neck.
